1. Scope and consent

This Privacy Policy describes how StoreLooks (“StoreLooks”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit https://storelooks.com, use any of its features, receive our email, or otherwise interact with us (the “Service”). It is part of our Terms of Service.

By using the Service you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of information described here, including the use of cookies, analytics tools, and advertising pixels for advertising purposes. Our cookie notice tells you these technologies are in use; they may begin operating when a page loads. Where the law that applies to you requires opt-in consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, you can block them in your browser or withdraw as described in Section 8. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. Your email address and, if you create an account, the name, profile image, and sign-in details our authentication provider passes to us (including from Google or another identity provider you choose). Brand and page requests, canvases you build, images you upload, messages you send us, survey answers, and anything else you submit.

Information collected automatically. When you visit, we and our providers automatically record: IP address and approximate location derived from it; device, operating system, browser, screen size, language, and time zone; the pages, brands, stills, ads, and searches you view or run, what you like or save, the density and theme you choose, clicks, scroll depth, session length, referring page, and outbound links; heatmap data (where you click, tap, and scroll, mouse movement, and clicks that do nothing or are repeated in frustration); identifiers stored in cookies, local storage, and similar technologies; crash and performance data; and session replays of how you use the interface, with the text you type masked.

Pixel data. We use advertising pixels, including the Meta Pixel, and collect pixel data: the pages you visit and the events you trigger on the Service (such as page views, searches, content you view, likes and saves, sign-ups, subscriptions, and brand submissions), with your IP address, browser and device details, referring page, and the cookie identifiers the pixel sets. Pixel data is sent to the pixel provider as well as to us. Section 4 explains how it is used for advertising.

Information from third parties. Our authentication provider, advertising platforms (such as Meta), analytics providers, and email delivery provider give us information about you: whether an ad we ran led you here, whether you opened or clicked an email, whether your email address is valid, and aggregated audience insights. We may combine everything above.

3. Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies

We use first-party cookies, local storage, and third-party cookies, pixels, SDKs, and tags. They fall into these groups:

GroupExamplesWhat they do
EssentialAuthentication session cookies; shoplog_vid (anonymous visitor id so saves and canvases persist); shoplog_rail, shoplog_about (per-visit sampling); shoplog_density, shoplog_frame, theme and cookie-notice stateMake the Service work and remember your settings.
Analytics and performancePostHog, Vercel Speed Insights, DatafastMeasure traffic, usage, errors, and speed; understand which content and features are used; build heatmaps of clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement; and replay sessions to improve the interface.
AdvertisingMeta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and, in future, other advertising pixels or tagsMeasure our ads, build audiences of people who visited or took actions on the Service, find people similar to them, and show you ads for StoreLooks and our partners on other sites and apps.

Cookies may persist from a session up to 13 months; some third-party identifiers last longer under the third party’s own policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service may stop working. Pixel and tag providers may set their own cookies and receive your IP address, browser information, page URL, and the events described below directly from your browser, and may combine that with information they already hold about you.

4. Advertising and the Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel and related Meta business tools. When you browse the Service, the Pixel may send Meta your IP address, browser and device details, the pages and content you view, events such as page views, searches, sign-ups, subscriptions, likes, and canvas activity, and, where you have given it to us, hashed contact information such as your email address (the “Advanced Matching” feature). If you are logged in to a Meta product, Meta may link this activity to your account and use it, under its own policies, to personalize ads, measure results, and improve its products. We use the resulting data to measure our advertising, to create custom and lookalike audiences, and to show you or people like you our ads on Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta surfaces. Learn how Meta uses data at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

We may add other advertising, retargeting, or attribution tools (for example from Google, TikTok, Pinterest, or X) that work the same way, and we may share hashed email lists with those platforms to match and reach subscribers there. Under some US state laws this sharing counts as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or “targeted advertising”; Section 8 explains how to opt out.

5. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • personalize what you see, remember your preferences, and rank and recommend content;
  • send you marketing, promotional, product, and transactional email and other messages (see Section 6);
  • advertise the Service and our partners to you and to audiences like you, on our Service and across other sites, apps, and platforms, and measure that advertising;
  • analyze traffic, usage, and trends; build aggregated and de-identified data, statistics, and insights, which we may use and share for any purpose;
  • research, develop, test, and train new features, models, and products;
  • respond to requests, enforce our Terms, detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, comply with law, and protect the rights, property, and safety of StoreLooks, our users, and others;
  • any other purpose we describe when you provide the information or that you consent to.

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performance of our contract with you (operating the Service and your account); our legitimate interests (improving, securing, and marketing the Service, and analytics), which we have balanced against your rights; your consent (non-essential cookies and pixels, marketing email where consent is required), which you may withdraw at any time; and legal obligations.

6. Marketing email

When you confirm a subscription or create an account, you agree to receive marketing and promotional email from StoreLooks, including newsletters, new-storefront alerts, product updates, offers, and partner promotions, plus transactional and account messages. Entering your email address in our subscribe form sends only a confirmation email: we add you to the list after you use its link, and an unconfirmed request is deleted after the link expires. We track opens, clicks, and delivery. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time through the link in any message or by emailing storelooksapp@gmail.com; account and transactional messages continue while you hold an account. We may keep a record of your address on a suppression list so we honor your opt-out.

7. How we share information

We share information with:

  • Service providers that process data for us: hosting and content delivery (Vercel), authentication (Clerk), database hosting, email delivery (Resend), analytics and session replay (PostHog, Datafast), media storage, capture and crawling tools, customer support, and payment processing if you buy a paid plan.
  • Advertising and measurement partners such as Meta, as described in Section 4, who act as independent controllers of the data they collect through their tools.
  • Affiliates, successors, and buyers in connection with any merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.
  • Authorities and others when we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or is necessary to enforce our Terms, protect rights, property, or safety, or investigate fraud or security issues.
  • Anyone, in aggregated or de-identified form that does not reasonably identify you.
  • Others with your direction or consent.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do share it with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, which some laws define as a sale or share; Section 8 covers your choices.

8. Your privacy choices and rights

Opt out of targeted advertising and sale/sharing. Email storelooksapp@gmail.com with the subject “Do not sell or share” from the address you use with us, or block advertising cookies in your browser. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as an opt-out request for that browser: while it is on, the Meta Pixel does not load, and our analytics keeps your activity anonymous rather than linking it to your account. You can also control ads directly with Meta at facebook.com/adpreferences and with the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info. Opting out stops targeted ads from us; you will still see ads, and essential and analytics processing continues.

Marketing email. Unsubscribe via any message or email storelooksapp@gmail.com.

Access, correction, deletion, and portability. Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and other US states with privacy laws, the EU, the UK, and Canada), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Send requests to storelooksapp@gmail.com. We will verify your identity (usually by confirming control of your email address) and respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows, and you may appeal a decision by replying to our response. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Cookies. Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and local storage, or, where our cookie notice offers it, decline non-essential cookies. Session recording, if enabled, can be stopped with the same controls.

Do Not Track. Other than GPC, we do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals because there is no common standard for them.

California notice. In the preceding 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information listed in Section 2 (identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, geolocation, inferences) from the sources listed there, used them for the purposes in Section 5, disclosed them to the providers in Section 7 for business purposes, and shared identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

9. Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above: account data while you have an account and for a reasonable period after; anonymous visitor identifiers and likes indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them; analytics and advertising data for the period our providers allow; email suppression records indefinitely so we can honor opt-outs; and any data we must retain to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. We may keep aggregated or de-identified data indefinitely.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of any information. You use the Service and provide information at your own risk, and you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. If we learn of a breach that the law requires us to report, we will notify you as the law requires.

11. Children

The Service is intended for people 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email storelooksapp@gmail.com and we will delete it.

12. International visitors and transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers process data in the United States and other countries whose laws may differ from yours. By using the Service you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on standard contractual clauses, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where our providers are certified, and other lawful transfer mechanisms. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

13. Third-party sites and content

The Service links to and depicts third-party websites and ads. Their privacy practices are their own; this Policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for them. Captures on the Service reflect what was publicly visible on a third-party site at capture time.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may change this Policy at any time by posting the updated version at https://storelooks.com/privacy and updating the effective date. Material changes may also be announced by email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Policy.

15. Contact

Privacy questions, rights requests, opt-outs, and complaints go to storelooksapp@gmail.com.
